Jordan and Meryl

I had a conversation with Jordan today who is three.  Jordan at the age of three already has picked out the woman or....maybe I should say 'Toddler'.... that he would like to marry.  He is a little defensive about her.   

Chasity and I are teaching his class on Sunday and have a blast with all the kids.  Jordan has a number of friends in the class and they are all girls.  He loves three of them in the class and the rest of them are his friends.  

Jordan and I were singing songs about how we love different people and they were funny songs.  We were laughing and smiling as we sang.  After we got done, I had a conversation with him...  I told him that I love him, Meryl, Sophia and Brianna. 

 I was trying to convey that we should love those around us.  However, the conversation took a different path when I mentioned Meryl's name.

Meryl is Jordan's friend who is also 3 years old and goes to our church. He looked at me and said, "You don't love Meryl... I love Meryl!." 

I then asked, "If you don't want me to love Meryl, do you want me to be mean to Meryl?" 

He then said, "I don't want you to love her or be mean to her" He thought for a second and then stated very plainly, "I want you to stay away from her."
