Build with Dad

Father's Day is upon us so our church decided to have "Build with Dad" day today. We built a tool box, tool belt, used hammers, built an ark, did some plumbing and made some picture frames. The kids had a blast.

The major theme was to follow God's instructions because you can't build your life without following His instructions.

In this photo you will notice that as you put the boxes together, an ark appears.

The kids caught on really fast and were busy getting this ark built. The back of the boxes had numbers on them and we had to follow the blueprints that were located nearby.

Brody and I built a tool box. He did almost the whole thing all by himself. After we built the box with power screwdrivers, we then glued letters that spelled his name on the tool box.

If you could have seen the serious face Brody was making as he was working. This was not play time. He was at work and having a great time too.

Chasity and I think that for his birthday we may just get him some nails, boards and a hammer. He loves carpentry.

Before building the tool box, we built a picture frame. Kara and Brody both made their own picture frames.

They took a picture of us together and then gave us the photo to put in the completed project. It turned out pretty good.

The glue guns they had were hot! The glue began to form strings. Kara wasn't certain what to do with the stringy gooey mess. She could just barely push the button on the glue gun but she got it.

Brody of course took it all in stride. He used the glue gun like he was made for it. After a few instructions, he went to work and didn't stop till he was done.

When we got home Kara and Brody wanted me to take a picture of them together. Brody got on his work bike and Kara did her pose.

Of course Jordan wanted in on some of the fun too so....I threw him up in the air and few times. He loves the ride! He had the biggest smile on his face as he experienced the feeling of a free fall before my large hands put pressure on his body. He seems to love everything at this point in his life!

God has blessed Chas and I with three wonderful kids who I love very much. It is hard to imagine life without them!
