Dentists are Fun!

Kara and Brody took a trip to the Dentist. I had a long talk with them the night before. I told Brody and Kara, "The Dentist is only going to clean your teeth and then you get a prize. There are no needles involved!"

After I said this, they were both very relieved! Brody has already had his full of needles. His first two Dentist were really terrible and the pain was insufferable for Brody.

Thankfully, they both trust me so they knew that their trip was not going to be a painful experience. At least, not yet :)


While they were looking at Brody's teeth, they discovered that one of his back teeth had a cavity. I guess he will need a baby root canal. While it sounds cute, it is not fun process I assure you. I asked the Dentist if Brody would feel any pain. The Dentist said that he may not feel a thing so we will see!


Kara on the otherhand had two cavities. I guess she will need two fillings. Her back two molars on either side have a spot that needs to some attention. I guess next month is going to be a fun month in the Folken house.

I guess we will have to start eating more Watermellon so that our teeth don't rot out. The kids in this photo are trying to make smiley faces with their watermellon cut. I thought it was pretty cool.
