1 Thessalonians 5:18, “give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.”
I spent some time with my Dad back in May and he was having a hard time breathing. My Dad is 67 years old. His recovery from heart surgery did not appear to be going so well.
The doctors had done quadruple bypass surgery last November so that his heart would get more oxygen. On his last visit to the doctor back in April, he was told that if his condition did not improve that they would have to put a pace maker in.
I went to visit my Dad this past weekend. Kara and I went with Uncle Ryan and Sydney. When we got to the house, my Dad was busy picking up sticks and loading up the truck.
I was shocked to see him doing so much. I noticed that he was making sure that he did not exceed his weight limit of 50lbs which was very positive. I also noticed that his breathing has greatly improved from my last visit in April!! In fact, he went on a mile walk with me and he seems to have fully recovered from the surgery.
My brother Chad came over to visit while I was there too. Dad decided that we should go get the family feast at Godfather’s Pizza. After my Dad initially had his surgery back in November, the first thing he wanted after he got out was Godfather’s Pizza.
Of course, I went and picked one up for him and did he ever enjoy it. Godfather’s Pizza must be the place to go when you find a successful solution to health problems.
