Chaz was calling for me downstairs saying, “DENNY”. My daughter Kara was sitting on the couch and decided to have a talk with my wife.
Kara said, “Don’t call him DENNY, his name is Daddy. Chaz then explained to Kara, “I call him DENNY because he’s my husband.”
After a short thought, Kara said, “When I grow up, Daddy will be my husband!”
Chaz did a quick smile and then said to Kara very softly, “No, he’s my husband. When you grow up you will have to find your own husband.”
Kara then promptly responded, “No, Daddy will be my husband when I get older.”
Chaz later that night came to me and told me about the conversation and we had a good laugh together. Chaz and I love every moment we have with our kids! They are truly a gift and parents could not ask for better children!
