Jordan at Eight Months

Jordan is eight months old. I am just amazed at how fast they grow up. It seems like just the other day I was holding a newborn baby in my arms.

Jordan at this point is trying to crawl. He has figured out how to get up on all fours, but he is lacking the coordination to really go anywhere. He has the ability to move around in circles on his belly, but that doesn't get him too far.

The other day, Jordan figured out how to back up. He traveled about five feet going backwards. When I looked at his face, he just looked at me beaming.

The big thing that sticks out about Jordan is how he loves to smile at you. He loves to look into a person's face and just beam his brightest smile at people. He loves the attention, but he doesn't live for the attention. He will play by himself for an hour or two before he needs someone to come to him.

Jordan has really been the perfect baby. He sleeps all night, eats on a regular schedule, has only gotten sick once so far and loves to play for hours with Brody and Kara and especially his toys.

At this point, Jordan likes to grab his toys and look at them. After a certain time of inspection, he will stick them into his mouth. As a result, he has a lot of slobber on his toys, but that's a baby thing.

The other day I gave Jordan some Lemonade. The Lemonade is real tart and pretty strong. Jordan made a squishy face which seemed to register his displeasure; however, it was just really sour for him. The face was misleading though because he wanted more lemonade!! As he drank more of the lemonade, he made the same goofy face, but he still wanted more.
