One Second

While traveling back from Alabama, we had to stop at a hotel on the way back. The hotel had a indoor pool, two queen beds, free breakfast and all the fun stuff.

After breakfast, we went swimming in the morning. Kara and Brody found some life saving stuff and used them as floats to swim around the pool. I pulled the strings and Kara went zipping across the pool. I will admit that after doing that once she was pretty much done with my zip line. Brody; however, loved me pulling him across the water. Brody is always up for an adventure!

After swimming, Kara was in the bathroom changing her clothes. I said to Kara, "Hey, are you almost done?" Kara said, "I will be done in a second."

I was surprised that she used this phrase as I was almost certain she didn't know what it meant. I said to Kara, "O.k., it has been a second, are you done?"

Kara immediately said, "No, no I will count."

I sat there waiting for her to start her count. About five minutes later she said, "One." "I am done now."

I suspect that her "One" was her count. When she came out of the bathroom with her change of clothes on, I gave her a big hug.
