Jordan is now 2 years old

Jordan and I spend a lot of time together. I resigned my position with my firm and have had the joy of spending many hours with him.

While Brody and Kara are busy with school during the day, I take Jordan out on the town. At first we would go to Target and drive around the store in his little car. He has a little push car that he absolutely loves.

I then moved to the mall where they have a little play area. He would climb up the stairs and go down the slide over and over. When other kids got in his way, no problem, Jordan would just wait until the coast was clear.

After some time, I then started taking him to Chucky Cheese and let him ride a few rides. They have a Barney ride, a clown ball thrown and a basketball shoot out. He loves the basketball shoot out area. He seems to be fascinated by the basketball. I guess seeing Brody play basketball is some incentive for him.

We then progressed to going to the Kids Playland. We go there everyday and he walks from center to center playing with all the items in there. They have a tree house in the play area and he goes up the ladder to the tree house.

Some of Jordan's favorite saying area, "Come on" He waives his little hand and beckons me to follow him everywhere. He also says, "All gone now." His voice is so precious!!

Jordan is also learning to read. He is able to make all the sounds of the alphabet and has started reading small words. He can read "the", "in", "that" etc.. He really is a very smart little fella! He is really an amazing toddler for his age.

We have a mini-van with a T.V. in it. We will jump in the car and he will yell "Play please" When he says that you know he is ready to watch his movie.

By far though, Jordan's favorite item in the whole wide world is his little car. When I stop the van and get his car out, he gets the biggest smile every time listening to the car as I pull it up to his door.

We finally were able to put new carpet in the kids room. The room is now so much warmer and the kids love to play in their rooms. We also threw away lots and lots of toys!! We just had too many and when you got too many then the kids don't play with any of them. We kept their favorite toys and have a place for them. The kids are able to pick up their rooms really fast this way.

Chasity and I are having a great time being parents. Brody, Kara and Jordan are a real joy to raise up. We do a Bible story every night and pray before every meal. We also ask whether our motives are driven by a selfish desire or if we are allowing the love of God to direct our actions.

Jordan began his Bible story at the age of two. His prayer is very short. Jordan says, "Jesus, I love you. Amen." His prayer at supper is very short too. Jordan says, "Thank-you Jesus for this food. Amen." During the Bible story, he loves to point at things in the picture as I moved through the story. I normally stop several times and ask him to find something in the picture.
