Jordan and the Flashlight

My wife and I are in the process of having our third baby! His name will be Jordan Lee Folken. My wife has been up all night having contractions.

After two hours of contractions last night, we called up my brother who came over to sleep on the couch. We were pretty certain it was time; however, we called the doctor who said that she should wait.

Well, this morning she woke up having contractions again. We think she may have the baby today. The contractions are five minutes apart and it has been going on all night. They are getting stronger very, very slowly.

My wife wrote up her instructions for the doctors and one of her request is that I catch the baby I have never done that before.

Brody and Kara are super excited! They just don’t know what to think because the bubble in Mom’s belly hasn’t done too much but make Mom sick. They have seen her belly grow and grow and know there is another baby inside. I wonder how their minds process that information.

We got a flashlight last night and put it on the stomach. The baby started playing with the light. It was soo cute. I can also do high-fives with the baby through the belly wall. My wife says it feels strange when we do that. I guess it is the best we can do as we bond!

Our next addition is an amazing miracle and a gift from God. Life is a precious gift that is sacred and spiritual. There is no other rational explanation for the amazing reality that we are seeing right now!
